Duration: 6 months, likely to extend
Rate: Negotiable
Location: Toronto (Hybrid)
Description:
Our client, a very well-regarded Financial Institution is looking to hire a Project Manager for a minimum 6 months.
Your New Role
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for planning and managing the Wealth Program, supporting our business partner’s strategic objectives and goals.
Responsibilities
• Coordinating stakeholder engagement to help develop and build buy-in to a new strategy.
• Developing a high level timeline/stages of strategy development, then breaking shorter term activities into detailed actions we can track.
• Shaping scope, process and measurement of iterative test and learn tactics through the Prospr sales team so we can demonstrate results and build support for further investment.
• Coordinating process changes and training requirements.
• Managing test and learn activities – running regular progress touch points, assembling and sharing learnings and results, collaborating with stakeholders to identify pivots based on learnings.
• Coordinating activities with partner teams to build requirements for future development of product, technology and process changes to support progression of the strategy.
• In parallel, coordinating activities with partner teams to iteratively build out business case to support progression of the strategy. Requirement
• 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager, ideally within Wealth Management.
• Expert knowledge of project management techniques, tools and methodologies.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on relationship management and team building.
• Can effectively and concisely communicate project and technical information to provide comprehensive, concise recommendations to management.
• Ability to influence and manage difficult situations through to resolution; escalating as required and utilizing critical judgement in knowing when to do so.
• Ability to hold project team members and other stakeholders accountable to ensure that projects can progress according to plan.
• Effectively analyze project expense trends and understands the impact on projected spend.
• Ability to create project plans and identify dependencies
• Excellent organizational skills.
Assets:
• PMP Certification or equivalent, and in good standing with PMI.
• PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner or equivalent
• University degree, college diploma or appropriate experience in lieu of.
• Project management experience in the insurance industry or finance industry
