Your new company

Hays has partnered with a leading industrial machinery manufacturer to hire a Payroll Specialist for a 12 month contract. The position is hybrid in Holton Hills, ON.

Your new role

Prepare and process an accurate and timely payroll for all employees using the company's payroll system. Generate bi-weekly and semi-monthly pension / 401K contribution reports for submission to provider. Ensure all payroll records, such as timesheets, leave records, and overtime, are accurately maintained and updated. Review and verify payroll data for accuracy, including deductions, overtime, and bonuses. Manage the in-house timekeeping system Shopclock. Prepare and process journal entries with each payroll as well as prepare and enter month end journal entries.

What you'll need to succeed

2+ years payroll experience in Canada. Multi-provincial payrolls would be an asset. ADP Workforce, MS Excel are a must have skill. Great communication and interpersonal skills.
