Project Manager - Residential, High Rise

Your new role

As the Project Manager, your role involves leading a team responsible for a high-rise residential tower project. You’ll report to the Director of Construction and collaborate closely with the Development, Construction, and Estimating Teams. Wearing multiple hats, you’ll leverage your industry expertise and strong acumen to provide top-notch management and leadership. Your responsibilities span the entire lifecycle of high-rise projects—from pre-design to construction, substantial completion, and occupancy turnover. As the Project Manager, you’ll oversee projects, manage budgets and schedules, and work closely with site construction teams, building owners, consultants, and subcontractors. Your leadership and mentorship will be crucial, and you’ll also handle negotiations during site and contractor disputes.

What you'll need to succeed

A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing high-rise residential projects, including completion of at least one full cycle for a 30+ story tower as a Project Manager for a General Contractor. Holds certifications such as CET, PMP, or a degree in Construction Management. Professional Engineer Accreditation. Certified as a Civil or Construction Engineering Technologist is preferred. Extensive expertise and background in the Canadian construction industry, proficient in stakeholder management. Action-oriented and results-focused, with experience in Design Build projects. Highly skilled in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, JDE, PlanSwift, ProCore, STACK, and Bluebeam. Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, resolving issues promptly and constructively. Exceptional attention to detail and an independent thinker. Confident in presenting to corporate management and possesses strong leadership skills.
