The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects. This position involves coordinating various aspects of construction projects, ensuring smooth communication, and assisting project managers and teams. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for construction.Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and executing construction projects.
- Coordinate project activities, including procurement, subcontractor management, and material delivery.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Track project timelines and milestones, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and field teams to address any issues or delays.
- Assist in resolving project-related problems and conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Assist in preparing project status reports for management.
- Participate in project meetings and site visits as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience as a project coordinator or similar role in construction.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and best practices.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations.
