Hays is currently partnered with an award-winning Calgary-based land developer and residential home builder. They have been creating innovative and successful communities across the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area for almost 30 years. At the present time they are positioned for their next growth phase with a multi-year land base, strong financial resources, and an exceptional management team, with that they are looking to hire an Estimator for their builder side.

Your new role

As the Estimator you will report directly into the Senior Manager of Contracts and work alongside a professional and close-knit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing customization, pricing and other pre-construction related duties for a variety of residential builds (Bungalows, Front Attached, Laned, Side by side, etc). Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside a variety of departments within the organization to ensure the success of projects.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have experience in an Estimator role and strong trades connections in the market. This candidate can come from either a single family (production or custom) or a multifamily background. Ideally, this person will have strong analytical skills, and a good sense of urgency. Experience with cost estimating, drafting specifications and proficient in estimating programs is a must.
