Senior Director, Condominium Management Opportunity in Calgary

Hays has partnered with an award-winning property management company in Calgary with properties across several asset classes.

Your new role

The Senior Director, Condominium Management will have general oversight of approximately 120+ residential and mixed-use Condominium Corporations. Reporting directly to the Vice-President, this position will have approximately 10+ direct reports. This is a full-time, permanent position, 100% in-office.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to;

  • Providing strong mentorship and guidance to staff on a daily basis;
  • Fostering a positive and collaborative culture through various measures;
  • Onboarding and training of new team members;
  • Work in conjunction with other senior leaders for creation and implementation of strategic initiatives;
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders proactively and professionally;
  • Ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act and Condominium Property Act in all procedures;
  • Promote superior client satisfaction and retention;
  • Enforce Bylaws, Rules and Policies for properties under management;
  • Assist staff with planning, organizing and facilitating Annual General Meetings (AGM);
  • Assist staff with conducting property related reports;
  • Assist and approve budgets and financial reviews;
  • Assist staff as needed for maintenance and operations;
  • Ensure due diligence for the protection of the client’s funds against all reasonably foreseeable contingencies or losses;
  • Find and present solutions for unforeseen issues.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • RECA condominium management license is required (equivalent from out-of-province will be accepted, with a mandate of transferring to RECA within probation period);
  • 7-10 years of senior leadership within condominium management with a proven track record of people management;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed;
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required;
  • Must have a proactive and positive attitude;
  • Must be detail and deadline oriented;
  • Must have strong business acumen and deep understanding of the property industry;
  • Must lead with honesty, transparency, and hands-on collaboration.
