Title: Scheduler (Senior)
Location: Calgary, AB (hybrid)
Duration: 9-month contract


Your New Company
A leading oil and gas company is looking to hire a Senior Scheduler to their team in Calgary, AB.


Your New role
  • Reports to Planning & Scheduling Manager.
  • Full understanding of overall project scheduling fundamentals (critical path, dependencies, constraints, baselines, etc.)
  • Prepares and maintains complex engineering and construction schedules for projects and programs, Level 3 – 5 resource loaded schedule.
  • Responsible to ensure that project schedule aligns to company standard WBS
  • Prepares reports to and maintains liaison with management regarding project planning and scheduling activities.
  • Develops schedule basis.
  • Ensures the maintenance of all essential records and reports.
  • Determines work procedures and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Works with third parties to ensure plans are carried out; recommends corrective actions when the work schedule deviates.
  • Perform schedule audits on contractor schedules, including schedule health checks, critical path, production rates.
  • Facilitates continuous improvement related to all project functions.
  • Typically requires a high level of knowledge around technology and proper application of tools and resources.
What you need to succeed
  • Requires a university degree with 6 or more years (10 to 15 years) of related experience.
  • Extensive Primavera P6 experience is required.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to present information to a variety of audiences internally and externally
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills to assist in working in a fast paced and evolving work environment
  • Sound analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proactive approach to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills including, collaboration, conflict resolution and cross functional engagement
  • Experience with TiLOS would be valuable
  • Field and construction planning experience is considered an asset
