Your new role
Working under the direction of the Automation and Controls Director, the Automation Engineer programs and tests control panels with PLC, HMI/SCADA, VFDs and motor starters.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; plus one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Proven experience in industrial automation systems projects.
- Strong skills in PLC programming for machine controls and process controls
- Experience with Allen Bradley Rockwell and Siemens PLC, HMI and VFD systems required
- Fluent English.
- Knowledge in the ISA symbology standard.
- Able to read and review control panel drawings.
- Knowledge in batch routines.
- Knowledge in industrial networks.
- Knowledge in database.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
