Condominium Manager, Calgary up to 100k

Hays has partnered with an award-winning property management company in Calgary with properties across several asset classes.

Your new role

The Condominium Manager will have direct oversight for a defined portfolio of residential and mixed-use Condominium Corporations in Calgary. Reporting into the General Manager, this position is a full-time permanent position, 100% in-office.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to;

  • Working with building staff and relevant stakeholders to ensure the standards of the clients, owners and tenants are met.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts, sourcing vendors and contractors.
  • Assist in overseeing various operational expenditure and capital projects.
  • Managing multiple tasks/projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including operational budgets, capital projects and financial performance of the property.
  • Assist with the management of properties in accordance with corporate policies, procedures and operations within senior management approved annual budgets.
  • Coordinating repairs and maintenance requests to ensure they meet budgetary and operational expectations.
  • Ensuring contracts and agreements are performed according to terms and conditions, while adhering to all applicable legislation.
  • Assist with the preparation of purchase orders and obtain information on applicable costs to engage contractors and purchase services.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and payment processing.
  • Assist with the development and oversight of annual operating and capital budget forecasts.
  • Performing and documenting property inspections, priority reports, variance reports, and quarterly re-forecasts.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Embrace and pro-actively support culture of environmental sustainability, and corporate and social responsibility.

What you'll need to succeed

  • An active RECA license within condominium management is required;
  • 3-5 years of experience in condominium management including residential and/or commercial
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
  • Yardi proficiency is preferred but not required
  • MS Office proficiency is required;
  • Valid Alberta’s Drivers License
  • The ability to work flexible hours
  • Must be a positive team-player
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must have proven success in completing tasks before deadlines in a fast paced environment
