Description:

Our client, a very well-regarded Financial Services company is looking to hire a Senior Automation Developer for a minimum 12 months.

Your New Role

Experienced and self-driven technical thought leader to participate in our automation effort in various contexts, with a focus on automating repetitive processes to free up capacity, streamline service delivery, and enable digital transformation. Ability to deliver automated solutions to complex problems and is passionate about automation.

What you will do:

• Design, develop and support technical solutions that automate key processes and tasks

• Provide input to automation policy, standards and processes

• Determine the right tool(s) for the job and use them to optimize team performance

• Assess new tools and provide direction on automation technology, patterns and practices

• Promote re-use and adoption of solutions across teams through demo’s and coaching of other developers

• Ensure all automations are compliant with security directives and policies

• Provide expert level input to estimates for business cases

• Create automation playbooks and companion documentation as references, to help development and operations understand the logic and contents of the automated tasks

• Identify opportunities for automation and guide on effective ways to implement

• Educate others on the use of automation tools and best practices

• Always operate in strict compliance of security and change management directives

What do you need to succeed?

• Passion and thought leadership for innovation and automation

• 3-5 years experience in automation development

• Hands-on experience using automation tools such as RPA (Blue Prism), Ansible, scripting, Python, test automation tools, and DevOps tools

• Hands-on coding experience in Java, C#, .Net and API’s

• Solid understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution

• Willingness and ability to blend business analysis with hands-on configuration and development of automated solutions

• Understanding of enterprise methodologies, such as ITIL, CMMI, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Solid business and technical acumen, with demonstrated agility in learning and ability to become comfortable with unfamiliar businesses areas or technologies

• Strong relationship management and consulting skills

• Solid written and verbal communication skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline
