We are currently seeking a motivated and self-disciplined Building Operator to join the Shon Group Realty Team. This role is suited for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills who has a detail-oriented approach. If you take initiative and are comfortable completing various types of minor maintenance such as minor plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall repair, and power washing, this is the role for you! You will be responsible for ensuring tenants are receiving excellent service, contracting and overseeing performance of third party contractors/trades, completing minor maintenance, performing routine building inspections of the property and systems, as well as programming various building automation systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial building operations experience and is comfortable performing all types of minor maintenance including minor plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall repair and power washing. You should also be familiar with various building automation systems including keyscan security, lighting and HVAC systems. A driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and the ability to be on-call for emergencies are a must. A 4th/5th class power engineer certification would be considered an asset and preference will be given to those willing to certify as a 4th class power engineer.

In exchange for your hard work and commitment, the successful candidate will be compensated with a competitive base salary ($70,000 – 80,000 per annum based on experience), a 5% discretionary bonus based on company and personal performance, extended health and wellness benefits, parking on site, 3 personal days and 3 weeks of vacation, as well as $150 per week for on call (4-5 week rotation) plus overtime! Shon Group will also reimburse tuition or education costs up to $1500 per year for relevant education.
