The data analyst role will work to establish and maintain data management practices and procedures that will be key in enabling our business to make decisions through the collection, interpretation, and usage of a combined data platform. You will ensure that business data and analysis requirements are met by properly applying data practices and concepts, including data structures, collection and rationalization, and structured and unstructured data analysis and reporting. The ability to utilize Power Bi and SQL and potentially other data management platforms such as Python to collect, analyze, rationalize, and report on combined platform data is required.

Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Work with Data Governance Lead to standardize data governance practices, guidelines and reporting.
  • Utilizes programming and analytical tools to formulate models and/or extract insights.
  • Well versed in knowledge of creating algorithms, identifying patterns and insights from structured and unstructured data sets utilizing graphs, trees and/or other data representation techniques as required.
  • Work in peer review with fellow data analysts to jointly code, review and publish data, make changes, and add new data components.
  • Gather and process raw data at scale, including writing scripts, SQL queries and creating PowerBi components as well as reports as required, working in primarily the PostgreSQL, Microsoft Azure and PowerBi landscape.
  • Reformulate existing data architecture and frameworks to optimize data workflow.
  • Perform regression analysis and testing on data frameworks to ensure the fit of usage for BI reporting.
  • Performs ad-hoc, strategic analysis of structured and unstructured data across multiple data sources.
  • Develops data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, rationalize, and standardize data to generate insights and address reporting needs.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots data integration and integrity issues in cooperation with the appropriate service lines if needed; designs workflows and procedures to support data integrity and accuracy.
  • Identifies opportunities to maximize data usage, applying modelling and optimization methods to develop new strategies and improve business performance.
  • Develops ad-hoc analytics and reporting based on analysis of existing data sources, utilizing PowerBi.
  • Exhibits analytical rigour, judgment, and ability to present a comprehensive 'data story' to multiple levels of the organization.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, engineering, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis, data modeling, reporting, relational database tools, data warehousing, database architecture, SQL, SAS and/or SPSS

    2-3 years technical experience in software development, machine learning or statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization related work.

    SKILLS and ABILITIES
    ·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    Fluent in any SQL languages (e.g.: MS SQL, Oracle, PostgresSQL)
    Proficient in Cloud Solutioning (e.g.: PowerBI Services and MS Azure SQL)
    Report development tools such as PowerBI or Tableau

    Optional: PowerApps and Power Automate, Python/PySpark· Strong analytical skills.
