Vehicle Cyber Security Expert

Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a Vehicle Cyber Security Expert.

A day in the life:
  • Based on alert trigger, conduct technical analysis to determine impact, scope, and response actions.
  • Adapt best practices, define and execute actions to manage cyber security incidents related to our vehicles.
  • Drive lessons learned activities after incident closure to identify potential gaps in security controls.
  • Provide verbal briefings, visual presentations, and written reports regarding location risk assessments to relevant stakeholders incl. probability and impact of mitigated incidents.
  • Determine regional incident response requirements and align with relevant stakeholders.
  • Propose and deliver projects to enhance team’s incident response capabilities.
  • Identify, make, and maintain working relationships across the business lines and support teams.
  • Enable, guide and support Cyber Defense Analysts.
  • Manage, assess, and report performance of vendors.
  • Please note: The nature of this position is a technical security function, not a compliance function.
Skills, requirements & traits:
  • University degree (or college) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other IT-related field of study.
  • 5+ years working experience in cyber security or IT operations related field in a corporate, military, or law enforcement environment.
  • Excellent hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: Threat Intelligence, Incident Management & Response, Data Analysis, or Automation.
  • Knowledge of automotive standardized software architectures like AUTOSAR and cloud security (Azure and Alibaba in particular).
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM analysis (Splunk).
  • At least one of the following certifications: GCTI, GREM, GDAT, GCDA, ECIH, or OSCP.
  • Honest and professional, strong team influencer, able to proactively support team culture that fosters knowledge sharing, excellence and collaboration.
  • Able to work under pressure, facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communicator, able to engage and effectively respond to diverse stakeholders including authorities such as NHTSA
  • English fluent; German will be a plus.
