Superintendent Opportunity; Wood Frame Health and Community Center; Living Out Allowance
Your new company
Expanding privately owned General Contractor that is headquartered in Vancouver is currently recruiting for a Superintendent to run an interesting out of town project located in the Prince George region. The organization has a history spanning over 25 years. They undertake a variety of commercial, multifamily residential and institutional projects ranging in value from $1-$30m. Much of their work is in the Vancouver Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley regions but they also undertake work in other regions of the Province as is the case in this instance. The owners of the company take pride in having an honest and communicative style with their staff.
Your new role
The project has a value in the region of $15m and consists of a new build health and community center which is a single story wood frame structure. Construction is due to start Summer 2022. The project is located around 30 minutes from Prince George and is scheduled to run for around 18 months. As Superintendent you will be the primary point of contact on site with overall responsibility for making sure the project runs successfully. You will be supported by a Project Manager that will be based in Vancouver but will visit suite regularly.
What you'll need to succeed
The position will suit a proactive Superintendent that has a strong sense of initiative. To be considered for this opportunity you should have a solid history of competently completing small to mid-sized ground up commercial or institutional projects of this nature. Knowledge of wood frame construction will be particularly valuable. You must have an honest demeanor, communicate clearly and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with your trades and clients.
