Your new role:
As the Senior Mechanical Estimator, your role will be an integral part of the Mechanical construction process and ensures competitiveness, profitability, and growth. As the Senior Mechanical Estimator your role will include but is not limited to; Preparing complete labor and material cost estimates, Preparing bills of material and other information for use by purchasing, Determining constructability requirements via field walk-downs with the customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel, Comparing various project documents for accuracy and consistency as well as data entry, Performing field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation, Participating in the estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders, Assisting construction personnel throughout the project life-cycle in tracking and understanding of cost estimates, Preparation and submission of change orders, Following-up at the end of projects to close any loops in the estimating process to include invoicing and cost tracking and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need to succeed:
To succeed as the Senior Mechanical Estimator we are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent experience. You will have 3+years of estimating experience in a relatable field. Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes, Mechanical materials, and methods of installation and being able to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical, plans and specifications including blueprints, proposals, and other relevant documents are important. Our client is eager to find a hard-working candidate who uses initiative each day. Teamwork is integral in this role as you will be working alongside customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel.
