Our client, a global firm, is looking to add a Senior Residential Designer to their team in Calgary working on multi-family projects. Your new role
As the senior designer you will developing architectural designs to ensure the final solution meets project timelines, budgetary requirement and quality parameters for multi-family residential projects in AB & BC. You will be compiling information from reports and published documents, to understand the broader requirement of the projects and prepare your own design reports. Since you will be working for a large team you will be required coordinate design intents with other disciplines – consisting of the engineering consultants and other design departments. You will be responsible for determining compliance with construction documentation and identify any issue and be the main point of contact with owners and contractors to resolve issues in a timely manner. You will be responsible for coordinating the design through all phases of the project

What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate will possess impressive interpersonal skills and will have a minimum of seven years of experience . You will have attended a relevant post-secondary institution. A membership with a Relevant Registered Associate is an asset but not a requirement. You will be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop & SketchUp. It is essential that you have some prior experience in project delivery, project management and client management. As this will be a senior role you will be expected to demonstrate an ability to coordinate with other team members and professional disciplines. You will possess impressive time management and problem solving skills and demonstrate innovate and aesthetically pleasing creative knowledge. You should also be familiar with Mechanical, Electrical and Structural permits and buildings codes.
