The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing wood and engineered wood products. You will be responsible for managing suppliers and overseeing the daily supply chain operation. You will be reporting into the COO and responsible for executing the purchasing strategies for manufacturing of wood panels. The Purchasing manager will be responsible for overseeing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff and ensuring the sourcing of the items while maintaining quality.
You must have experience in purchasing wood or engineered wood products – this is a mandatory requirement. You must have experience in understanding the pricing of wood and knowledge of purchasing lumber. As a Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for all the sourcing activities, you will work closely with the other supply chain groups to ensure a smooth flow of operations. The experience in reading blue prints, engineering drawings is an asset. Experience working in manufacturing or a retail environment with strong communication, critical thinking and organizational skills are key.
