Job Title: Project Manager/Senior Project Manager
Hays Mechanical Contracting team have partnered with a growing mechanical company in Port Coquitlam, Vancouver! Our client takes pride in the work they do. From major construction projects to regular service work to the safety provided by the fire protection division. This is a full-time permanent opportunity with a fun team and great benefits! Your new Role
As the Mechanical Project Manager your job purpose will be to plan, organize, direct, control, evaluate and provide general management oversight of construction (institutional and commercial) projects through conceptualization, scheduling, implementation and all other phases of a construction project. Ensures that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding and delivered on schedule and within budget. Each day you will work alongside subcontractors, purchasers, directors of field operations, project coordinators, accountants and controllers to make sure the projects are running smoothly and staying within budget. Administration tasks will include but not limited to; Reviewing RFI responses, applying for necessary permits, creating project close out documents, reviewing contracts, create project forecasting reports and reviewing shop drawings.
What you’ll need to Succeed
To succeed as the Mechanical Project Manager, you will bring 8-10 years in the mechanical construction industry, be familiar with mechanical Contracting and associated components, you will be detail oriented, and someone who can work independently though who also works well in a team, key skill is to be approachable and professional with customers. Previous experience working on institutional and commercial projects with a value of around 2 million is an asset.
