The Vancouver office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, one of Canada’s largest law firms, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their Intellectual Property team. With multiple offices across the country, they pride themselves on being first class with not only their service but also their people. This role based in the Downtown Vancouver office, boasts beautiful surrounds and a growing workforce.

Your new role
As the Administrative Assistant you will perform all administrative and file management tasks requested by Lawyers, PAs and other support functions. This includes file opening, copying, filing, archive management, scanning and completing general administrative duties as required.

Filing, copying, scanning and general administration is an integral part of the operation of the firm and within this role you will be required to complete duties for extended periods of time during the day. You will be accountable for establishing and maintaining an ongoing service based relationship with the team.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you will be a graduate of a post-secondary program with a focus on law or have 6+ month experience in an administration role, ideally within the legal sector. An established knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required, as are strong oral and written communication skills. In addition you will have the ability to meet deadlines and to work effectively in a team and also independently. The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; with strong attention to detail and strong organization and multi-tasking skills. This role will suit a flexible and enthusiastic self-starter who has the ability to take initiative and has a desire to continuously improve skills.
