The business develops and operates real estate investments across Canada and globally. The company has a large presence in the Real Estate industry across the Toronto and GTA area, and focus on projects in the office, and retail space, to multifamily, hospitality and development. The company focuses on bringing high- quality, sustainable real estate to life around the globe. Due to progression planning, the company is hiring a full time Human Resources Manager to be based in their Corporate Head offices in downtown Toronto.
Your new Role
Reporting directly into the HR Director, the HR Manager, will focus on an all-encompassing role for Human Resources and Organizational Development programs for the Eastern region. The role will consist of, but not be limited to: managing employees and labour relation issues for the client group; performance management administration, performance improvement plans; annual initiatives such as succession planning, employee development planning; annual audit and compliance requirements; client group recruitment and selection; HR and compensation reporting; annual policy reviews and updates, employee recognition and all other HR projects as required.
What you’ll need to Succeed
To succeed as the Human Resources Manager, you will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and an HR Designation is considered an asset (CHRP). You will bring 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience, with at least 2 years in a management capacity. You will have solid knowledge of ON employment standards, labour relations, Human Rights and H&S. You will have experience with employee/ labour relations and counselling and training and facilitation experience. You will be professional and be able to communicate effectively orally and written with employees at junior- executive level within the organization. You will have demonstrated Project Management abilities and be a problem solver who enjoys a fast-paced environment. Experience relating to the Real Estate industry is not required but is considered an asset. You will further, be skilled with computers and working with different systems and applications. For success in this role – you must be skilled at excel, HRIS systems and other applications.
