Hays Electrical construction team in Vancouver is recruiting an Electrical Foreman for a project in Vancouver.

Your new Role:

As the Electrical Foreman, you will be assigned to projects in the Greater Vancouver area (Our client will work with you to find projects near your home residence) Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Electrical Site Foreman is the second management level in command and has a further role as a coordinating manager and client interface. The Site Foreman directs and manages all on-site manpower, subcontractors, and equipment while advocating and enforcing the company’s direction, policies, procedures, and safety standards, through to meeting construction deadlines. In collaboration with the Site Supervisor, the Site Foreman is responsible for the efficient use of labor, equipment, tools and materials by their crews. Site Supervisors must be familiar with contract interpretation, policies, and procedures.

What you'll need to Succeed:

To succeed as the Foreman our client will be looking for the the following requirements; Good standing member with the ITA, Certificate of Qualification (Red Seal) or equivalent qualifications, Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Journeyman, 5 years’ experience as a construction worker, A solid understanding of all construction trades and electrical techniques, Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills, Effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity, Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation, Familiarity with labor relations and contract interpretation and procedures, Possess a valid driver’s license, Excellent time management and project management skill, High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning, Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures, Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment, Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, Able to work well under pressure & strong attention to detail, Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times, Strong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.) and email and First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.
