Your New Role

Under the direction of the COO, the Director of Operations will be responsible for leading, prioritising, and executing South BC operations. Accountable for the expansion of a profitable customer base as well as the implementation of systems and processes that support the achievement of the company objectives.
Working in a very fast-paced environment where things can change on a daily basis, we are looking for a hands-on director, who would prioritize and evolve strategic and tactical initiatives, inspiring and mentoring internal talent.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 8 years in high managerial roles for large production/manufacturing companies.
  • At least 5 years of previous experience in manufacturing, recycling, steel, or scrap yard operations. Or other industry experience such as forestry, equipment, or commodities industry.
  • Business management and/or project management education and experience would be an asset.
  • Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills
  • MS Office Suite
  • Influential Leadership and problem-solving mindset.
  • The ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams


What You Will Get in Return

$180-210k Base salary + 20% bonus + 100% benefits + $2000 RRSP matching (3 month waiting) + 3 weeks’ vacation + 2 volunteer days + mat leave top ups (100% of salary, length depends on tenure)
