Your new role
As the Human Resources Director in Ontario, you will be reporting to the Human Resources Vice President, with a doted line to Operations. As Director, you will be responsible to develop and lead HR strategies and programs which support the achievement of key business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and roll out HR onboarding and orientation program for the operational sites in the Greater Ontario area.
  • Become a trusted and strategic HR Business partner with Operations and ensure pro-active, pragmatic and high level of service towards internal customers
  • Be a strong contributor to the management team capable of facilitating change, leading new initiatives, and managing projects while respecting budget.
  • Review HR policies and procedures to ensure organizational alignment while keeping in mind existing company culture and industry best practices.
  • Develop impact initiatives to support employee engagement and motivation
  • Advise and support managers in the areas of employee relations, organizational design and in the application of human resources policies.
  • Lead workforce planning needs in collaboration with managers and the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Support compensation activities, including salary planning, annual salary adjustments, internal movements, and job position reviews.
  • Coordinate the performance evaluation process and the annual salary review cycle for key business units.
  • Identify best practices for the reporting of HR metrics that support business goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management using business metrics and KPIs.
  • Manage a high performing team of HR professionals (Business Partners and HR Specialists). Lead professional and personal development conversations, performance reviews and be responsible for the hiring, coaching, and taking of further disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and appropriate action plans to improve performance.
