Your new role
· Develop and implement standard and customized HSE solutions for external stakeholders
· Work with clients to drive a positive and pro-active safety culture
· Develop and maintain their HSE MS to meet regulatory requirements and client standards; ensure each client is aware of all applicable regulatory requirements
· Assist with the development of external training courses
· Perform field inspections and site safety compliance audits
· Visit client production and operational facilities
· Update Certification of Recognition (COR) audit requirements
· Work with HSE leaders and/or external auditor to complete internal audits
· Manage project timelines to ensure regulatory and client deadlines are met
· Escalate issues that may impact client relations and relevant project information to applicable stakeholders · Maintain knowledge of new and updated legislation, regulations, and compliance standards · Gain a thorough understanding of H2Safety services and client needs · Assist in continuous compliance and improvement to H2Safety internal HSE programs · Conduct internal inspections and maintain COR requirements, as necessary.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree (Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, Management, or equivalent); Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation would be considered in absence of a degree
  • Completion of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Certificate or diploma
  • Working towards, or willing to obtain, CRSP designation or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Health & Safety related work experience
  • Up-do-date completion of the following courses: H2S Alive; Standard First Aid and CPR; WHMIS and TDG
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, provincial, and local HSE regulations
  • Proficient in recognizing and reducing health, safety, and environmental risks
  • Read, analyze, and interpret regulations, professional journals, technical procedures
  • Work in a matrix environment and influence/motivate diverse teams
  • Build rapport and trust with stakeholders at numerous levels
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
