Hays has recently partnered with a reputable global building solutions company who specializes in Building Controls, HVAC, and Refrigeration. Due to a period of sustained growth the company is looking to add a technical, performance driven construction/controls sales representative to their team.
Your new role
- To Establish prospects within the GTA territory primarily with EPC's and Engineering Consulting Firms to support business strategy.
- Develop professional relationships to understand customer needs and be able to suggest the best products and/or services that meet their needs.
- Must be able to prospect bid opportunities, participate in the preparation of bid responses and be able to negotiate with potential customers.
- Develop new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.
- Identify prospective target accounts and presents to sales business development team.
- Be able to develop long lasting, personal customer relationships to influence potential opportunities.
- Attend trade shows to increase the companies visibility against competitors and influence potential prospects.
What you'll need to succeed
- 3+ years of sales experience selling controls and BAS systems.
- Experience selling in large target market within GTA for institutional, commercial mix use residential, and retail industries.
- Must be able to do their own estimating.
- Strong hunting and prospecting skills.
- An aptitude for and an understanding of technical or mechanical principles so that you can clearly present and explain solutions to your client.
- Ambitious and results driven.
What you'll get in return
The successful candidate will receive a competitive base salary of $80,000 to $95,000 plus commission. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable, well-established global organization who is experiencing strong and sustained growth.
