Experienced Personal Injury Law Clerk looking for leadership responsibilities

This boutique law firm specializes in personal injury, denied disability, and real estate law and is conveniently located near the Yonge subway line in Thornhill making it an easy commute to your permanent full time position. They are currently seeking a junior/intermediate law clerk supervisor to manage their personal injury practice supporting 1 associate and the managing partner on larger files with 1 junior law clerk and legal assistant as direct reports.
Your new role
As a Personal Injury law clerk supervisor you will be leading the personal injury practice managing all AB/Tort files start to finish with a junior law clerk and legal assistant to assist with various administrative tasks as you see fit. In this role you will be responsible for delegating and managing all work share and overseeing the smooth running of the personal injury practice communicating any areas within files that the associate needs to address based on your recommendation. You and your team will be responsible for tasks such as drafting pleadings, AOD’s, settled proposals, motions, trial records, statement of issues, and memorandums. You will also be responsible for reviewing files, identifying files ready for settlement discussions, preparing claims forms, monitoring insurers responses and taking action to follow-up as needed, along with billing, docketing, and various other tasks to ensure the smooth running of the personal injury practice.
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for an experienced Personal Injury law clerk with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in this practice area that is looking to add some leadership responsibility to their work experience. Completion of a law clerk diploma or related work experience is required. You will possess a strong understanding of the civil rules of procedure and statutory accident benefits along with working knowledge in MS Office, Adobe, and PC Law. This position is ideal for a self-starter that is detail oriented, self-motivated, has strong interpersonal skills and is looking for an opportunity to add more responsibility and leadership to their work experience.
What you'll get in return
Competitive salary ranging from $50,000-$65,000 based on experience with paid vacation time and a comprehensive benefits package after the probationary period.
