Procurement Manager

Our Client, a Multi-story construction company is looking for a Procurement Manager.

Downtown Toronto (Presently working from home, but plans to return to the office)

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the end to end Procurement and Contract process. You will be responsible for managing the Project Procurement activity working with the various vendors and stakeholders ( proposals, estimating, pre-construction, legal and finance departments ) as well as the site commercial, construction and design teams. Your experience in Identifying and managing commercial, technical and capacity risks during the procurement process will be key to the success of this role. You will be managing the tender process and supporting projects accordingly.

This is an individual contributor role and will not have any direct reports. As the ideal candidate you must have a minimum of 5 years of Procurement experience from the construction industry. This role will require some travel to the site. Experience in Multi-story construction would be an asset. You must have an understanding of the sixteen divisions in Construction and have worked on construction projects liaising with various teams. Experience in leading negotiations and the ability to influence stakeholders is a key requirement for this role. You must have experience assessing risk on a contract along with reviewing commercials.
