Your new role

As the Supply Chain Quality Expert, you will be reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and working collaboratively to improve the supplier and quality management process. In this exciting role, you will have many opportunities to display your subject matter expertise within supply chain quality assurance. The Supply Chain Quality Expert is responsible for defining and executing strategic plans for the Supply Chain process, including annual risk assessments, verification of supplier products and process, and analyzing performance to ensure the supply chain functions are capable of delivery. In this role you will develop relationships and meet with clients to ensure all needs are being met, while providing technical expertise and leadership to sourcing suppliers with respect to performance, quality, cost, logistics, and delivery. You will lead solutions for supplier product concerns, with focus driving Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), customer interaction, supplier interaction, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) support, supplier component development approval, and supplier cost improvements. Using 21st Supply Chain and Procurement Software systems and Analytical Distribution based platforms you will have an opportunity to display your strong systems savvy abilities in a challenging, autonomous role. This position will be forever changing and will expose you to a worldwide customer base where your relationship building and natural customer service skills will create successful relationships for years to come.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field and 2-5 years of experience in sourcing quality manufacturing, shipbuilding, aerospace, heavy machinery, oil and gas products across a worldwide supplier base. A Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing Management certification is preferred but experience redefining supply chain process and control is critical for success. The Supply Chain Expert will be a high energy team player who demonstrates creativity, innovation and problem solving in an assertive and confident manner. The Supply Chain Quality Expert will possess strong negotiation and influencing skills and have the ability to manage multiple priorities and organize new challenges in a positive and constructive way.
