My client, an established and well known organisation across Canada, is seeking a customer focused Events Coordinator. Your new role
As the Events Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and managing internal and external events, taking ownership and managing the annual events budget. Reporting to the Executive Team, this is a vital role for the organisation and will be very involved with client and customer interactions, therefore you will have excellent communication and social skills. You will be tasked with identifying resources needed to create a successful event, establishing and monitoring event timelines and schedules; also coordinating operations and logistics as required, including contracts, event staffing, and developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors. In addition, you will advise and report on event effectiveness in order to incorporate learnings into future events.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years in a similar role, with demonstrated experience coordinating full cycle events and related budgets. You will have pre-existing connections in the Edmonton market, and have solid planning and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be professionally presented, and have completed post-secondary education in Business, Marketing or Event Management. You will be professionally presented, and have advanced communication skills. Candidate must have a flexible schedule and be able to attend some evening and weekend events when required, the company will be flexible in return.
