Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing all purchasing activities for the organization, across multiple locations. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for assisting with the purchasing strategy development, managing/leading a staff of 6, managing the day to day operations and leading complex negotiations. The primary function of this role will be managing end to end purchasing operations across multiple locations, people management/leadership as well as working with sales to identify new opportunities. The Purchasing manager will be responsible for constant process improvement and looking at long term strategic vision for the purchasing team.

As the ideal Purchasing Manager, you must have 6+ years of purchasing management experience across multiple locations. You must have experience in managing direct reports and overseeing all purchasing activities in a distribution environment. You must have experience in replenishment, inventory control and managing the entire purchasing operations. Experience in performing supplier scorecarding, rebate programs and leading negotiations is critical to the success of this role. You must be the type of individual that creates a positive work environment, can make quick decisions, shows the highest priority to customer satisfaction and has strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
